played an Octave higher than its regular Tonic, then it’s called Rast

Neirooz to the Tonic of G, then we have a Rast tetrachord on
G and a Bayati tetrachord on D. This new Maqam is called Muheiar
Iraq in Tunis, and Iraq
in Algeria and there is no difference between them other than the
note below the tonic, where it’s natural in Algeria and sharp in
Tunis |
